Lamma Island is one of the major attraction of Hong Kong which can be reached by ferry with less than half an hour. It is the third largest island in Hong Kong. This will be the first place to visit for us in our second day in Hongkong.
We started our day by having a filling breakfast at Tsui Wah Restaurant. The environment in the restaurant is nice, and it is one of the Hong Kong cheap eats.
The food came at a big size too. It came with one set. I had a western style breakfast - 2 "bulleyes", grilled bacon, whipped potato, and some beans with a bun.
It came together with a glass of fresh orange juice. Nice and cheap.
On the other hand, Connie had a plate of Asian cooked macaroni with some ham.
This set came together with 2 "bulleyes" and a sandwich, and an add-on for the famous Hong Kong milk tea. Very filling breakfast.
After that, we went to Hong Kong MTR station and walked to Central Pier 4 to take the ferry to Yung Shue Wan.
Along the journey we could see the sky scrappers standing giganticly in the morning sun.
We boarded the ferry and along the journey, the waves were hungry and whenever there is a ship or a boat passed by our ferry, it was as though we were sitting in a rollar coaster.
Besides that, we saw fishing boat and the "First Ferry" - The ferry that would take us to Macau in the later part of our itinerary.
Not forgetting also, we saw the famous Victoria Harbour where the Superstar cruise was embarked at the shore.
The journey lasted about 45 minutes and when we reached Yung Shue Wan, the scenery was fantastic. The air was clean there. There were no cars. Residents at Lamma Island usually use the bicycles as their main transport.
There will be a specific porch for them to lock/park their bicycles.
Our first stop was Hung Shing Yeh beach.
It took us about 30 mintues of walking to reach our destination. Hung Shing Yeh beach offered white sandy beaches and many tourist like to enjoy the sun bath on the beach.
Outside the resting area at Tin Hau Temple.
After the tiring walking, we decided to have some rest. We stopped by a shop which sells Tou Fu Hua. The tou fu hua here is said to be made with mountain water so it taste smoothly.
Besides that, they did sell some locally made foods.
Right beside the shop, there was a public telephone booth. The design looks much better than the one we have in Malaysia.
We got ourselves recharged before continuing our journey. Looking from far, this is the first wind turbine of Hong Kong. It is known as Lamma Winds.
The nice scenery in Lamma Island.
Apart from this, there is a Pavillion built in Lamma Island. The Pavillion is built with a bamboo theme which is one of China's classical building material.
The footpath built towards the Pavillion were well constructed however there are still some trees whom had overgrown onto the footpaths.
There is also a small fishing village in Lamma Island as alot of fishing boats can be seen around.
As the day got hotter, we find a shaded place just outside of Lamma Island library and enjoyed the afternoon breeze.
The Marine Police of Hong Kong.
Feeling exhausted, we boarded the return ferry and went back to MTR Hong Kong. Not forgetting to give a thumb up for this classic island before we left.
We reached at 2.30pm and walked right into the heart of Hong Kong sky scrappers to find for food.
This is the wolrd longest covered escalator that I have took before. It is called Central Mid-levels Escalator which is 800metres long! It brought us to our second destination of today.
Lan Fong Yuen is a recognised restaurant in Hong Kong. It is famous for its pork chop burger and milk tea. Lets see what we ordered.
This is the pork chop noodles. Look at those deeply fried chops. Absolutely yummy!
And, this is the vermicelli and the milk tea.
The boss of Lan Fong Yuen is very friendly. Look, how well he posed when we snapped the photo of him. Recommended!
After the late lunch, we took MTR to Admiralty station. Walking out from Pacific Place shopping mall, we can see green side of Hong Kong - Hong Kong Park.
The waterfall looked amazing.
The afternoon sun shone brightly at the garden pond and the spreading of this sunny ray created a golden like landscape.
Flagstaff House Museum of Tea Ware is located here. The building have the style of olden time.
Pretty flowers on show around the park.
Sky scrappers surrounded Hong Kong Park.
We hope we could spend more time at this beautiful park. However, this is just a passing point for our desired destination - The Peak. It is the best places to view the city's skylines.
We purchased the ticket which included the peak tram, entrance to Peak Tower Sky Terrace and Madame Tussauds Hong Kong.
Look, Jackie Chan was welcoming us when we reached.
The tram took us up to The Peak which is about 1,200 feet above.
Upon reaching, we directly went up to the Peak Tower Sky Terrace. The views here is superb!
The views from Lion Lookout Pavilion.
After that, we visited the wax musuem. Madame Tussauds Hong Kong featuring more than 100 wax likeness of stars, world leaders and atheletes.
Kelly Chen and Bruce Lee welcomed us at the entrance.
Andy Lau and Leon Lai looks charming.
Loius Khoo and Janice were welcoming us to took a picture with them.
One of my favourite soccer player David Beckham dressed in his Galaxy white.
Connie is ready to hit Tiger Woods on his head if his putt failed.
I am quite a tall guy, but standing beside Yao Ming, the giant of China, i looked like a dwarf.
Gosh, there is someone coming out from a picture. *Chills*
It's me with the father of science, Albert Einstein.
It's me with Twins. They are so pretty.
The wax musuem provide opportunity to build your own mini wax statue also. Just provide the photo and it will be done.
As clock is ticking fast, we boarded an open hooted double decker bus and go around the city. This is the best way to get closed to these majestically shone sky scrappers in the night.
Next up, Charlie Brown Cafe. This will be the last stop of today. Of course there are some entertaining program coming up. My friend, Ah ho, will be celebrating his birthday in this cafe.
This cafe bring extra signifance as, it is a Snoopy theme cafe and it is only available in Hong Kong.
From the walls to the floor and until the washroom, it is painted with Charlie Brown and friends.
Besides that, there were lots of souveniers up for sale.
The table number card is also snoopy themed.
We got ourselves a plate of spagetti and an ice blended ribena. Tasted not bad.
I added on with a tuna puff. Yummy!
We ended our day at about 11pm. It was a great outing for us.
