Leisure Walk at Chinese Garden

After a hectic working week, it will be a good choice to grasp some fresh air to free our mind.

Pei Quan and me went to Chinese Garden to enjoy the peaceful atmosphere and also to have his first practice session on his newly bought DSLR.

Chinese Garden was built in 1975 with the theme of an ancient China, whereby, the architectures are full with the ancient chinese monuments such as, the Imperial garden, pagoda, tower and bridge. The garden is suitable for picnic, jogging and tourist visit.

Our first destination, the Chinese Pagoda Tower..

The stairs leaded towards the top of the Pagoda create a nice circular effect..

Admiring the scenery on top of the pagoda..

At the entrance there a legendary auspicious Chinese statue called "Kirin" - 麒麟。

The pagoda standing majestically under the sunny rays..

Small bench for some relaxation..

Little pond..

Very old tortoise swimming in the pond..

The beauty of nature..

Bonsai Garden..

Artistically designed ceiling..

The calmness of mother nature..

There is also a tortoise museum inside Chinese garden..

A small pond with a breeding of Koi fishes..

Finally, some potrait shooting..

It was a great day out. A good place for couples to have their pre-bridal shooting here!

Singapore X'mas 09 One Day Trip

On X'mas Day, we started off by having a movie at Jurong Point, Boon Lay. At the entrance of Jurong point, there was a X'mas tree standing proudly waiting for a picture session with us!

After that, we went to watch the blockbuster movie - Avatar 3D. The movie lasted for the remaining 3 hours. We had 3 hours of trilling action and love. Two thumbs up for this movie!

Feeling thirsty we got a 2 spoonful of ice-cream from Andersen's. Andersen's ice cream originated from Denmark. Click here to visit the official website...

We opted for one spoonful of blueberry and another spoonful of coffee chips. Go try it! It is a must!

After that, it was all shopping time for Connie. What I feel is, Jurong Point offered a more affordable piece of shopping experience for us. It feels more fun to shop here. Not too big and not too small. You will get what you want.

As it is approaching dinner time, we headed from Jurong Point towards City Hall, to have our dinner in Swensen's. Click here to check on what we had for our dinner in Swensen.

When the dinner is over, the Fountain of Wealth which is just inches away from Swensen's started to dance. Check the pics below! It is very beautiful!

We hanged around Suntec City, and shoot some photos for our remembrance. It was a simple day out on X'mas, but it was an exciting to go out together as love is in the air!

Uniquely Singapore

I was sent to Singapore for training by my company right after my Hong Kong trip. Of course, nothing comes cheaply. This training bonded me to this company for 1 year. Well this is not the first time I been to Singapore, but it can be classified as the longest time for me to spend my time in Singapore for 2 weeks.

I took full advantage of this training trip to visit the famous places that I missed out during my previous visits. Pei Quan, visited me during the weekend and hence we can "paktor" there.

We went to The Fountain of Wealth located at Suntec City, City Hall. Fountain of Wealth a.k.a "财富之泉" is listed by the Guinness Book of Records in 1998 as the largest fountain in the world.

Next, we go to the Singapore Flyer. Singapore Flyer is walking distance away from the Fountain of Wealth. Young people like us prefer to walk as it can keep us slim! Alternatively, you can take a cab to the Fyler as well, but of course you need to pay.

There are totally 28 capsules on the Flyer. Normally, it took about 30 minutes to complete one rotation. Consequently, the price to get onto the Flyer is not cheap for people like us. We just hanged around there and took some photos to mark our presence to this tourism spot in Singapore.

We headed east towards Marina Bay to view the City Skyline of Singapore. It is abt 1km away from the flyer. The iconic statue of Singapore - The Merlion is located there too. I would say that, the view is magnificent. You see wall to wall skyscrappers. It is definitely comparable to the Avenue of Stars in Hongkong. "Whoo~~!, Woooww..!" can be heard around when you visit this place.

While waiting for the sun to set, we went to The Esplanade a.k.a. The Theatres on the Bay. It is a "durian" shape building. It's main purpose is to act as the centre for arts performing for the island nation of Singapore.

We visited inside, and the pic below is one of the master piece of artwork, where the artist uses hoola-hooks from various colours and to form a background bringing sense of youthfulness and unity.

The sun sets, and the moon rises. We went back to the bay and capture the night view of Singapore.
The sunset view of Singapore.

Visiting Singapore, Orchard Road would be a must visit place for both of us. As christmas is around the corner, we can see the decorations is starting to blossom over in Singapore.
