Uniquely Singapore

I was sent to Singapore for training by my company right after my Hong Kong trip. Of course, nothing comes cheaply. This training bonded me to this company for 1 year. Well this is not the first time I been to Singapore, but it can be classified as the longest time for me to spend my time in Singapore for 2 weeks.

I took full advantage of this training trip to visit the famous places that I missed out during my previous visits. Pei Quan, visited me during the weekend and hence we can "paktor" there.

We went to The Fountain of Wealth located at Suntec City, City Hall. Fountain of Wealth a.k.a "财富之泉" is listed by the Guinness Book of Records in 1998 as the largest fountain in the world.

Next, we go to the Singapore Flyer. Singapore Flyer is walking distance away from the Fountain of Wealth. Young people like us prefer to walk as it can keep us slim! Alternatively, you can take a cab to the Fyler as well, but of course you need to pay.

There are totally 28 capsules on the Flyer. Normally, it took about 30 minutes to complete one rotation. Consequently, the price to get onto the Flyer is not cheap for people like us. We just hanged around there and took some photos to mark our presence to this tourism spot in Singapore.

We headed east towards Marina Bay to view the City Skyline of Singapore. It is abt 1km away from the flyer. The iconic statue of Singapore - The Merlion is located there too. I would say that, the view is magnificent. You see wall to wall skyscrappers. It is definitely comparable to the Avenue of Stars in Hongkong. "Whoo~~!, Woooww..!" can be heard around when you visit this place.

While waiting for the sun to set, we went to The Esplanade a.k.a. The Theatres on the Bay. It is a "durian" shape building. It's main purpose is to act as the centre for arts performing for the island nation of Singapore.

We visited inside, and the pic below is one of the master piece of artwork, where the artist uses hoola-hooks from various colours and to form a background bringing sense of youthfulness and unity.

The sun sets, and the moon rises. We went back to the bay and capture the night view of Singapore.

Visiting Singapore, Orchard Road would be a must visit place for both of us. As christmas is around the corner, we can see the decorations is starting to blossom over in Singapore.

Live to eat; Eat to Live!

There is a lot of nice food around Singapore. A place where you get nice sushi in Singapore with a fair price would be Sakae Sushi. Sakae Sushi in Singapore offers more varieties of sushi compared to its franchise in Malaysia.

The Salmon is very fresh; Unagi is very fleshy; Sakae sushi is very tasty!

If you like to eat some spice and sourly cuisines, Bali Thai would be a good choice. Person like me who doesn't like spicy food also give two thumbs up after visited this restaurant. A must try when you visit this place would be the Seafood Tom Yam and it's Pineapple Rice.

When you ask citizens in Singapore where you can get good Chinese Dim Sums, they would recommend Ding Tai Fung. Normally, you will need to wait and queue to be seated. So, if you are rushing for time, it is better for you to make a reservation.

There is another place for you to get nice Asian cuisines with affordable price, that is The Asian Kitchen. The dessert is mouth watering!

For western food lovers, Fig & Olive provides the Mediterranean cuisines. The tuna filled kebab and it's fish with butter rice is not to be missed!
